    Freedom of expression and freedom of information are fundamental elements of a democracy. A free, independent press is one of the most important institutions in democratic society. How do we maintain this when technology takes over everyday life?

    As technology increasingly controls more of people's everyday lives, and the global giants dominate the advertising market, the world is globalized. A rapid emergence of fake news pages appear and will affect citizens' actions and opinions. In this landscape, the population needs editor-driven media to ensure an enlightened public conversation and provide users with well-documented reporting and fact checked media.To give their thoughts on this we have State Secretary to the Norwegian Minister of Local Government and Modernisation Paul Chaffey, Are Stokstad, Raoul Grunthal, Ingeborg Volan and fake news specialist,Tom Rosenstiel on the list of speakers.
